Which Camp in Rishikesh with Rafting Should You Choose?
🌊 First time on the river
Pick the 16 km Shivpuri combo: real rapids like Roller Coaster and Golf Course, but a manageable 2–2.5 hours on the water.
👨👩👧 Families with teenagers
The 9 km Brahmpuri combo is the gentlest stretch, with calm floats between small rapids. Rafting age is 14–60.
🔥 Friend groups
Go for 26 km Marine Drive, with The Wall, Three Blind Mice, Crossfire and Return to Sender, and more time on the river, or add the 117 m bungee.
🏔️ Serious adventurers
The 35 km Kaudiyala combo is the longest day run in Rishikesh. For more, try the 84 km Ganga expedition with riverside camps.
Our River Rafting Camp: Forest Camping Near Shivpuri, Not a Crowded Beach
For rafting camping in Shivpuri, Rishikesh, our packages use our own campsite in the Goolar forest valley below Thaat village, on Pawki Devi Road about 21 km from Rishikesh and a short drive from the Shivpuri and Marine Drive rafting points. It has 25 Alpine deluxe tents, a dining area, a bonfire ground, clean shared washrooms and charging points with power backup.
Unlike riverside beach camps, a forest camp is quiet after 10 PM, has darker skies for stargazing, and does not depend on river levels. Ganga beach camping is allowed only at approved sites 100 m+ from the water under the 2017 NGT order.

Rafting Camp Package vs Booking Camp and Rafting Separately
You can book a camp and a rafting trip with two different operators, but a combined rafting camp package in Rishikesh is usually simpler and better value:
✅ One rafting and camping package
- One price covering tent, dinner, breakfast, bonfire and your Ganga rafting slot
- Camp-to-river transfer planned around your rafting batch
- One WhatsApp number for check-in, rafting time and pickup
- If the river is closed by the authorities, we move or refund the rafting part
⚠️ Booking separately
- Two advances, two sets of timings to coordinate
- You arrange your own transport from camp to the rafting start point
- Missed batches if the camp check-out and rafting time clash
- No single team responsible if plans change
Example: our 16 km Shivpuri rafting and camping package is ₹2,550 per person with meals and camp night included.
Rafting and Camping for Groups, Colleges & Corporate Offsites
Group rafting camps are our speciality. We have hosted office teams, college friend groups, school trips and family reunions at our forest camp in the Goolar valley.
- Friends and college groups: 26 km Marine Drive rafting with a bonfire night, or add the 117 m bungee jump in our adrenaline combo.
- Corporate offsites: team rafting in separate rafts, outdoor games and a bonfire session at camp.
- School adventure trips: our 2 nights / 3 days programme adds 10 km rafting, caving and rock climbing with full supervision (from ₹4,500 per student).
- Families: the gentle 9 km Brahmpuri stretch with a quiet forest camp night.
Group discounts apply for larger bookings. Share your group size and dates on WhatsApp for a quote.
Rishikesh Rafting and Camping Trip from Delhi, Noida & Gurgaon
A 2 days rafting and camping trip is the most popular weekend plan from Delhi NCR. Rishikesh is about 240 km from Delhi (6–7 hours by road). You can drive, take an overnight Volvo bus, or take a train to Haridwar (about 25 km away) or a flight to Dehradun's Jolly Grant airport (about 35 km).
- Day 1: reach Rishikesh, check in at our camp from 12 noon, lunch, waterfall walk, evening snacks, bonfire and dinner.
- Day 2: breakfast, then your Ganga rafting trip from Brahmpuri, Shivpuri, Marine Drive or Kaudiyala, finishing at NIM Beach near Laxman Jhula in time for the drive home.
Want more than rafting? Add a camp, rafting and bungee jump combo or a sunrise hike to Kunjapuri.

Alcohol, transport and personal expenses are not included.
Where is your rafting camping in Shivpuri, Rishikesh located?
Our camp, Camp White World Expeditions, is in the Goolar forest valley on Pawki Devi Road, about 21 km from Rishikesh and close to the Shivpuri rafting stretch. The last 700 metres is a 15-minute walk from the road. Rafting starts from Brahmpuri, Shivpuri, Marine Drive or Kaudiyala depending on your package and ends at NIM Beach, Rishikesh.
How do I reach the rafting camp in Rishikesh?
Rishikesh is about 240 km (6-7 hours) from Delhi by overnight bus from ISBT Kashmere Gate, by train to Haridwar or Yog Nagari Rishikesh, or by car. Haridwar is 25 km away and Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport is 35 km away. From Rishikesh, the camp is 21 km on Pawki Devi Road; come in your own vehicle or book our camp transfer for ₹1,500 one way.
Which rafting camp package is best for first-timers?
The 1 night 2 days camp with 16 km rafting (Shivpuri to NIM Beach) is the best choice for first-timers. It has Grade II-III rapids such as Roller Coaster, Golf Course and Double Trouble, takes about 2-2.5 hours on the river, and runs in 8:30 AM and 2 PM slots. Families with younger teenagers can choose the gentler 9 km Brahmpuri combo.
When is the best time for camping in Rishikesh with rafting?
October to April is the best time for camping in Rishikesh with rafting: clear weather, comfortable water and cool nights for the bonfire. May and early June have the biggest rapids but hot days. Rafting and our camps are closed from July to mid-September for the monsoon, and the 2026-27 season opened on 23 September 2026.
Is camping and rafting in Rishikesh safe?
Yes, when you book a licensed operator. White World Expeditions is licensed for the 2026-27 season under the Uttarakhand River Rafting/Kayaking Rules, uses IRF-certified guides trained in river rescue and first aid, and provides life jackets, helmets and safety briefings on every trip. The camp is a staffed forest site away from the riverbank, with a camp manager on duty overnight.
What is the age limit for rafting and camping in Rishikesh?
Rafting is allowed from 14 to 60 years of age for reasonably fit participants who weigh between 30 kg and 100 kg, so the life jacket fits properly, and the forest camp accepts guests aged 10 and above. Children under 14 can stay at the camp but cannot raft. People with heart conditions, epilepsy, asthma or spine problems should not raft.
Can non-swimmers do rafting and camping in Rishikesh?
Yes, non-swimmers can join our rafting camps in Rishikesh. Everyone wears a high-buoyancy life jacket and a helmet, guides are trained in river rescue, and a safety kayaker accompanies the rafts. Non-swimmers should choose the 9 km Brahmpuri or 16 km Shivpuri combo and listen carefully to the "what to do if you fall in" part of the safety briefing.
How many people are there in one raft?
A standard Rishikesh river raft takes 6 to 8 rafters plus one certified river guide, who steers from the back. Larger groups are split across several rafts that run together, and small groups or couples share a raft with other guests. If you want a raft only for your group, ask for a private raft when you book.
Is beach camping with rafting allowed in Shivpuri, Rishikesh?
Beach camping on the Ganga between Rishikesh and Kaudiyala is allowed only at approved sites set back more than 100 metres from the river, under a 2017 National Green Tribunal order. Our rafting camp is a forest camp in the Goolar valley, so your stay does not depend on beach-camp approvals or river levels.
What should I carry for a rafting camp in Rishikesh?
Carry quick-dry clothes and shorts for rafting, a full change of clothes, strap sandals or sports shoes, a towel, sunscreen, a torch, mosquito repellent, a warm jacket from November to February, any personal medicines and a government photo ID. Leave jewellery and valuables at home; phones can be kept in dry bags or at camp.
Do you offer rafting camps in Rishikesh for groups and corporates?
Yes. We host college, office, family and school groups, with up to 30 people on most rafting camp combos and 50-60 at the camp for a night. Group and corporate discounts are available, and we can add team games, a DJ night, a barbecue (minimum 8 people) or a school adventure trip with caving and rock climbing.
Can I add bungee, zipline or cliff jumping to river rafting and camping in Rishikesh?
Yes. Cliff jumping and body surfing are done during rafting on suitable stretches when the river allows. Bungee jumping can be added as a stand-alone extra (minimum 2 people) or booked as our camp + rafting + 117 m bungee combo, and we can arrange zipline, flying fox, giant swing and kayaking at extra cost.
