This temple is one of the 52 Shakti Peeths in Uttarakhand, and according to Hindu mythology, the chest of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen at this sacred place.

The Kunjapuri Devi Temple offers breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Chaukhamba, and Gangotri ranges. Watching the sunrise from this sacred hilltop is a truly unforgettable experience.

To reach the shrine, visitors climb 312 steep steps from the roadside to the top of the hill, where the temple stands surrounded by stunning natural beauty and peaceful surroundings.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in White World Expeditions

Wake up early 4:00 AM 

Meet trek leader at White World Expeditions after short brief we drive 4:30 AM Drive to the Kunjapuri  for early Sunrise trip It’s about 1 hour drive from Rishikesh to the Kunjapuri Temple once we reach at the location visit to the Temple & wait for the beautiful sunrise which comes from behind the mountain  &  seat behind the temple It’s a one of the best place for sunrise in near Rishikesh after some time we drive back to the WWE office. 

Trek down via Neer Waterfall

After sunrise, begin trek downhill toward the waterfall & village the trek typically takes 3-4 hours to reach the waterfall and final pickup point. Trek end and transfer back to Rishikesh.
