We organize Sunrise and Day Hike Treks around Rishikesh, with the Kunjapuri Trek being one of the most popular and rewarding experiences.
Located at an altitude of 1,676 meters, Kunjapuri Temple is one of the 52 Shakti Peeths of Uttarakhand and holds great religious significance in Hinduism. According to legend, the chest of Goddess Sati fell here, making it a sacred pilgrimage site.
The temple is also famous for its spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Chaukhamba, and the Gangotri range. The sunrise from Kunjapuri is a breathtaking experience, making this trek a perfect blend of adventure, spirituality, and natural beauty.
After breakfast, visit White World Expeditions office and meet your trek leader. Complete the registration and sign the consent form before departure.
The Kunjapuri Day Hike begins at 8:00 AM, starting from the scenic Tapovan Village. The trail passes through beautiful village landscapes and forest paths, taking approximately 5–6 hours of uphill trekking to reach the sacred Kunjapuri Temple, located at the top of the hill.
For those who prefer a different experience, there is an optional route available — you may drive up to the temple and trek downhill instead.
After reaching the temple, enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Himalayas and relax for some time. Lunch will be served at the top.
After spending time at the temple, begin descending towards a beautiful waterfall, where you can swim in natural pools and refresh yourself after the trek.
Once the descent is completed, you will walk along the road back to the White World Expeditions office, where the tour concludes with unforgettable memories.
